    Asian Diabetic Cooking Recipes

Asian cuisine is one of the most flavorful cuisines in the world, which is why many Westerners simply love it. Asian cuisine refers to the various cuisines in Southeast Asia and East Asia. If you are a diabetic with a taste for Asian dishes, you can easily find online recipes for Asian diabetic cooking that will satisfy you.

Asian diabetic cooking, much like regular Asian cooking, uses a lot of healthy ingredients such as herbs and spices, lightly-cooked vegetables, lean meats, and fresh fish. So, if you are used to Asian cuisine, you will not find very many differences when it comes to Asian diabetic cooking.

You can search for Asian diabetic cooking by region - Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Thai, Filipino, Mongolian and others. Because of this great diversity of Asian cuisine, you can be sure that you will never run out of ideas for your Asian diabetic cooking.

One distinct feature of Asian cuisine is rice, typically, white rice - one of the foods known to contribute to diabetes. Therefore, in Asian diabetic cooking, there is a need to eliminate white rice and substitute brown rice or red rice instead. These types of rice have not undergone a lot of refining so they are very rich in fiber. They also are packed with B vitamins.

Noodles are also a mainstay in Asian cooking and fortunately, noodles such as vermicelli, or Japanese Udon or Soba noodles can be included in Asian diabetic cooking so you can still enjoy your favorite Asian noodle dishes.

Here is an example of an Asian diabetic cooking recipe:

    Orange Chicken with Ginger

Prepare ? cup of dry sherry, ? teaspoon each of ground ginger and white pepper, 2 minced garlic cloves, ? teaspoon of grated orange peel, 3 tablespoons of frozen concentrated orange juice, ? cup of water, 2 teaspoons of honey and 4 ounces of frozen skinless chicken breast fillets.

Whisk everything together in a large bowl except the chicken. Add the chicken fillets to the mixture. Cover and keep in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 4 hours. Overnight marinating is better. Preheat your oven broiler. Take the marinated chicken and broil it 7 minutes on each side.
